I have ran Melrose Headers on my C4 for probably 6years. They are stainless, no issues as far as cracking or anything, and the finish has held up fine for me. Now, I do have some oil marks and scuffs here and there and I dont bother focusing on making them look show ready, but they are a nice header.

I have a set I have yet to install. They have a nice ceramic coating on them. I just looked their website and do not believe they have a stainless option. I may be wrong. Just email them.

I have what melrose currently offers on my 84.
Not stainless any longer, and i opted for the ceramic coat option.
the ceramic coating was done very well and it's holding up nicely.
The install went pretty good however i spent extra time cleaning up and smoothing out every joint in the exhaust system to ensure a smooth install.
I understand they had issues with their supplier for the stainless bits and moved to non stainless.
To prevent rusting i coated the non ceramic coated parts with header paint that roughly matched the color scheme.
