Door Switch issue?

Door Switch issue?

So earlier this summer I had a problem with my aftermarket stereo staying on after I open the door. The stereo has a setting to stay on till the door opens.
So i replaced the door switch as I figured it wasn't getting the signal that the door opened, this solved the problem.

Here we are a few months later, and the same thing is happening again.

Is there something that causes the door switch to go bad, or is it more likely I got a bad switch?

What year? I have been seeing a few having problems with the new switches try vette2vette for a factory one.

1992.

I got this one from Zip, I just reached out to them to see if they will warranty it.

Vette2vette is out of stock. =\

I am one of the people that ordered a reproduction switch recently that was bad out of the box. The vendor handled it well and gave me a full refund.
