I am in the process of builing my own muffler eliminators to install this afternoon. The question is for those of you who have eliminated the mufflers or even gone to a really loud Flowmaster do you ever get stopped or hasseled about excess noise? How about interior noise? With top on top off? Thanks Jeff** I posted this in C5 section on accident and got no response image that whats up with the C5 guys?
I have the flowmasters with no cats and they are loud, but not bad when I keep my foot out of it. But when I do put it down, everyone around knows it. Maybe that will keep me from getting too excited.
I have an empty cat and no mufflers and mine's LOUD.......... but if I drive like I have some sense it's not too bad........... I have ridden alongside of cops in my area with no hassels at all but I REALLY am careful at times like that. We don't worry too much about that stuff in my state but when I lived in Jersey I got hasseled all the time for cars that weren't loud at all (I thought) :seeya
I never get hassled, but do pay attention around the friendly officers when I drive by. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being open headers, mine is a 7 (8 at wot).

I have carsound bullet cats, stock resonator, and muffler elims. If he says he's a 7 then you could call me a 4 with stock being a -5!
