Default Power Steering issue

I've been reading the messages on the power steering rack, but I have not seen any issues except morning sickness and it won't turn one direction. My problem is that on my 94 everything works, it is not leaking, but it is more difficult to turn than it should be. It is not like there is no power steering. I had a friend drive it that used to have a 94 as well and he said, "yea, it turns harder than mine did". I flushed the power steering fluid this spring but did not notice any change. Anyone have a similar experience?

I just had mine rebuilt I could not turn right anymore, when it gets to that point it is likely to need a sleeve. hopfully a metal sleeve not a jb weld sleeve. Anyways the fluid is crossing out of its channels and pressurizing the wrong side thus hard to turn. I did the rebuild last month and turns like a charm, hard part is find a rebuilder in your area , ask your local parts they seemed to know where they are. Good luck.

The effort in turning it each way is the same. I'm wondering if there is a way to check the PS pump pressure? From what I can tell, if it isn't leaking, it likely isn't the pump.

There is gonna be some feedback or tightness in the wheel I thought you meant it was hard to turn. If you feel it easy then get harder for a moment then the rack is in the early stages of going bad. My new one is fairly easy but no more rough spots. The pump is probably working still it it is fairly new.

It doesn't change in how much effort it takes to turn. There are no bumps or anything unusual. It is always the same. Yes, it is hard to turn, such as you could not use one finger to turn a corner. If I am going around a sharp corner, you wouldn't want to use just one hand if you were in a quick turn. Compared to my Park Avenue and Lucerne, it takes about twice the effort. That's about the best I can describe it.

Turn your wheels back and forth and feel for slop on the tires. Might be bad parts or just need grease. And it is not a Park Avenue.

Sounds fine, tire width makes a big difference, I really don't make turns with 1 finger but it feels like a P Avenue compared to how it was.
