I know I will not have it finished by Friday. But my Samco hoses and clamps should be here Tuesday. I'll just put it together so I can drive it to C&C on Saturday. I miss driving it Then, I'll literally get back to it when I get back from C&C.
And I just had a dumb thought. What if I flip the coil packs upside down?

Haven't had much time to mess with it. I did flip the first two coil packs upside down, looks like it'll work. I'll see what Taylor says tomorrow. And installed a new heater hose. Waiting on one more though.

If I remember I'll post pics of my install. As for folks saying they don't need an LTCC, I was in that camp until this year. I never had an opti problem and then last year I broke a rotor (first one in more than 10 years). So I pulled the engine and installed a new OPTI from GM. Long story short less than a year later i broke another rotor. (replacement GM optis are now rebuilt in mexico) and don't last like the old ones. Steve Cranage machined a spacer for my new opti to replace the rotor and I'm looking for the motivation to R-R the opti. I have an ATI superdamper so changing the opti in the car is not an option.
It seems to me that GM has been off-shoring to substandard manufactures and the new rotors don't hold up to my type of daily driving. If I didn't already purchase the LTCC I would probably try a crank trigger conversion then I would bump up my limiter beyond 7200.

LTCC still relies on the Hi/low signal from the sensor in the opti. LTCC makes the sensor have a longer life.
The opti is a good design, IMO. It's just that they no longer have Mitsubishi sensors in them. 247k on the opti, that is badass! Congrats!
Well guys, still waiting to here from Taylor. Hopefully they get my wires "approved" soon.
Something changed over at Taylor/Vertex. They're not as willing to make a set of plug wires like they used to be. I say forget the Taylor's. If you don't want to make them yourself give Steve at Magnecor a call.
Thanks a lot Patrick! Magnecor was awesome to deal with! I cancelled with Taylor, cause they were taking too long. BS, I shoulda just contacted them last week. For some reason, I forgot about Magnecor.
Not sure on the 93', if you have one then yes. You simply bypass it by connecting the two wires that run into the filter together. I believe in 95' they did away with the tach filter.

Cool and thanks. Yes my 93 does have one. It's a black box looking thing. Does this just stay connected like this? I'm talking about the the one that looks identical to the opti test port. Obviously, I'll make it neater.
