Quick note about MAF
I have been running my MAF in place so that the air is A: filtered, and B: the car looked as though it was still running on the MAF. (I have a 730 system now.) The other day on the way to work (about 10 miles) I decided to pull the MAF and run the car with just the black tube on it. No filtered air. I know I know. WOW. The difference is noticable. I wouldn't have thought hte MAF was really cutting air flow tha much. So, I tried again today and the same thing. The car really pulls much harder.

since your running a 730, I'd pitch the MAF and the stock filter housing. then get a intake tube and filter housing from a SD vette (has a larger opening). not sure what year to get, I know they changed the radiator angle at some point so there may be a fitment issues. you can heat up the plastic housing and bend it if need be.
