My interior lights take about 20 minutes to go off. Running or not. Key in or out. It doesn't matter. When I open the door and they come on it's 15 to 20 minutes before they go off.
FSM has a trouble shooting chart for the lights not going off at all.
I'd start with the door switches. I assume there is a max time the lights can be on and if the switch is bad, it may think the door was open continuously.
Just a guess on my part, but only thing I can think of at the moment.
OP - this thread should be a good read for you. I didn't do anything other than just "skim" it but I was going to head you towards CCM diagnostics for starters. Since you've the correct FSM a quick read of the CCM diagnostics and operation you should be all set.

Thanks, this is making some sense now. The light problem started after I got my car back from the body shop after an idiot ran into my passenger side door.
Now I know where to start. I'll bet it's the door lock switch.
It is the RH key switch. When I connect a meter to it it shows closed no matter which way I turn the key. If I disconnect the switch every acts normal when opening and closing the LH door. (delayed a bit) When I close the RH door the lights go off immediately. That's a don't care to me.
