Default 1985 front control arms with new z51 shocks

Hi,
I have a 85 Vette without the Z51 option.
I installed the Bilstein Z51 shocks about 2,000 miles ago.
The ride is a bit harsher but will them destroy the front control arms eventually? the arms are stock and not Z51.

I made front wheel alignment last Thursday and the guy thinks something is wrong with the shocks (he is not a corvette guy/mechanic).
When he rise the car up (front) it stays up. the same goes with down.
The car was on the lift by the time he examine it.

Is this the behavior for z51 shocks in stock arms?
Should I replace to the stock shocks?

Thanks.

Hi
The upper and lower control arms are the same for standard and Z51,
only the sway bar mono leaf springs & shock absorbers are different.

Standard shocks will be fine for a road car, or keep the Z51 shocks. the Z51 shocks are made for the heavy duty Z51 mono leaf springs, bit over the top for a base car.

Hi,
Over time, can the Z51 shocks can harm the leaf springs?
Should it better to rollback to the standard shocks?

Thanks

Z-51 shocks will not harm the leaf springs or the control arms. Corvette suspensions need to settle and can stay elevated for a short while after jacking due to the tight suspension and spring design.
