I have been watching the recent series of installation experiences by "Chucks88" on the TPIS headers and was wondering which set of headers (with Y pipe) are the best bang for the buck and the easiest to install
Hooker 2149 with the Hooker front Y or TPIS set up that Chucks88 is using?
I have an 89 6 sp coupe so wondering what the Forum experience and recommendation is.

theyre both about the same, although ive heard lately that the ceramic coating comes off of the TPiS headers whereas the Hooker coating stays on for quite some time
I've been wondering the same thing myself with one other set included. I know that Lingenfelter headers run $795 and they include a y-pipe, but I'm not actually sure which of these 3 flow the best. That would probably be my #1 priority.

Do you have any links to a post where it says that about TPIS headers? I did a serach and could not find it.
I finished my install today and went for ride. I feel a difference. I'm heading to the track tomorrow and will post my results. As far as installation the only snag I had was moving the fuel lines. Otherwise everthing bolted right up. I was even able to use the OEM hanger that connects the rear y-pipe to the torque beam.

They sound bad azz too.

 I'm soooo jealous. If I had my choice and money wasn't a concern, I'd look long and hard at the Lingenfelter SS Headers. They even look like they come with hookups for the emissions.
