Why? If I put a $500 radiator do you think that the average buyer will pay more for the car than his $100 cheapie? I don't think so.

2 things:

1. There are way more buyers out there so I'd be ok with or without you

2. Dad has a truck that books at $8000. He has spent approximately $10000 on improved parts. SS exhaust, an EXCELLENT rebuilt trans, expensive cooling pans for rear end and trans, tuner, etc. If you feel like you would be willing to pay him for what the extras are worth (IOW put your money where your mouth is), PM me.

I have had a Champion 3 row in my 92 for about 4 years with the factory dual fan unit and a 180* Hypertech thermostat. It works awesome during those hot Texas Summers.

Default since it was dd

I needed a rad so that I could drive the car to work in the morning, NAPA had it in stock locally, so I went with that one instead of ordering one from somewhere else.

Aklims rec is spot on. Give the next guy a new radiator and if thats not to his liking then he can spend the upgrade money.
Its not like hes recommending a junk yard radiator on the cheap.....

With my luck the junkyard radiator will work up till the potential buyer starts it up and we both get a nice warm coolant bath. I really don't use junkyard parts until there is no choice.

Said as a joke. If I saw a hacked up radiator in one I would walk away from the sell. That would tell me there are more repairs that are not done properly.I have found the best way to repair is to do it right with new, or used but good parts and do a Permanente repair. Sorry if I offended you I surely didn't mean to.

Fair enough. I would never use hacked up parts as a replacement u less I was in the middle of BFE with no choice. After I get home, I'd replace it with the right parts if available. What I would not do is replace it with a $500 DeWitts when a $100 from NAPA that meets OEM specs would do. So I'd look at a replacement from NAPA, Advance Auto parts, Autozone, etc and install since GM is probably obsoleted. I sell a car and it doesn't get top shelf stuff but it is known good.
