Started my car up (96 LT4 Coupe) this weekend for it's once a month winter wake up procedure and it reminded me of a problem I was starting to see last fall.
I haven't dug into too deeply, but wanted to see what others felt...basically I'm seeing the voltage in my car jump erratically almost constantly between 13 to 15 volts while running. In the past I recall it was pretty constant sitting on one voltage.
Wondering if this is a bad ground? Bad voltage regulator? Bad Alternator? Failing Battery?
I did have a @#$% mouse get into the dash about 5 years ago and had some issues with the PKE module, but it was replace and car has seemed fine since...still back of my mind has me worried it's a damn wiring issue in the dash the little bastard caused.
I had a strange thing happen on my 92 recently. After replacing the alternator, it was sending 17 volts constant to my system. The tang had broken off the alternator connector and wasn't making good contact to the internal voltage regulator. After replacing the connector, problem was solved.

Mine is jumping all over the place, my fear is the BCM only because I have one headlight motor that continues to try to shut off, it's not the classic gearing problem, because if I switch the headlight connectors the other one will do it instead while the initial one is fine...the FSM indicates a possible problem with the BCM and from what I understand getting to the BCM is a PITA.
