Just put 12V jumper to G in the ALDL and the pump should run, take the 12V directly from the battery if you like. Do NOTHING with any other terminal - 12V to G in the ALDL. How fast does this car crank? Labors to crank off battery OR at full charge cranks as expected?
***You mention starts - runs a few seconds and dies. Maybe ignition module failing and no distributor reference so ECM isn't energizing the fuel pump relay.
I ran 12v wire to the G terminal, pump still did not run. So then I jumped over the oil pressure switch and pump still didn't run. Then I tried both at the same time and still nothing. Turns over but fuel pump will not run

i think you can put 12v to the fuel pump directly at the back to see if it is the problem
if it doesnt start operating with direct power then its toast?

Ive done this with a battery charger and as I stated before it starts but will not stay running. Although I have not tried this while jumping the oil pressure switch. Should I try that?

Im confused. Is the fuel pump starting but not staying running? What is the actual fuel pressure?
No, you do not need to jump out the oil pressure switch.

The fuel pump only runs if i hot wire it. It continues to run but the car does not. It will start and run for a few seconds then shut off but you can hear the fuel pump still running.
Have you tested your fuel pressure yet? Yes, the pump is running but are you getting proper fuel pressure. To me it sounds like the cold start injector is putting fuel into the plenum to get the car started but it starves for fuel after that.
ok,if it starts & wont stay running, check the oil pressure sender,if the ecm doesn't see oil pressure it shuts off the fuel, safety measure in case of accident etc.

Cliff is right, ON 8th is wrong.
I agree with the others who have suggested putting a fuel pressure gauge on it.

I checked it before I had the starting problem and I was getting 40 psi. I have not checked it since I had to hot wire the fuel pump. I will try that. If it drops pressure after the start does that mean the fuel pump is bad?
