installing opti spark
i need to replace my opti spark but when i try to remove any one of the three bolts that hold the pulley crank on it keeps turning the engine over, can some one tell me the proper way to prevent the engine from turning so i can get enough torque to break the bolts loose. this is an automatic. i tried it with a cheater bar on the ratchet handle but that did not work either.,,,DISREGARD POST I FIGURED IT OUT....2 APPOSING SOCKETS WORKS GREAT.

Now spray it and let it soak if it will start put the bolts in loose and fire it a few times to break it loose. If not tap and turn from the drivers underside with a 1 by or a brass drift. Do not hit the outside of it. It will fall off twenty minutes after your arm does.

While your in there replace your waterpump seal and opti seal. And do a proper flush by pulling the knock sensor you will not believe how much crap will be in there. Just pinch the connectors to remove. I put in new 14 lbs. Be sure to seal the waterpump bolts. Antisizes the pully.
