Antenna help
1988 vette. The guy that had it before me dropped in a replacement. I stops about 6 in. before it should going down, I disassembled the antenna gear box. There was about a foot of broken cord. I removed it and bottomed out the antenna. now it pops out the top. How do I set the limits?

If you read the installation instructions which were provided above, you may have left the spring sleeve off before putting the holding cap back on. That thin brass? sleeve with the forks pointing up keeps the mast from coming back out. Just my guess.

Did you install the antenna cord while the unit was disassembled or did you "feed in the cord" after the motor unit was assembled in the car?
