1. I went to target and when I came out my car would not even turn over. No click no nothing. The guages had power and the voltage was right at 12. I tried about 10 times and let it sit for 10 min. Tried again and it started. Any ideas?
2. What should be the running voltage? All of the other cars I had it was 13.8 + this is 13.2 at idle and 13.3 above idle.
I suspect an overheated starter motor. When the motor cools, it works. I had this problem and a new starter fixed it right up. I think when the motor gets overheated, it shuts down in order not to cause a big short. My guess.
Starter solenoid, might want to just check out the whole starter. Or maybe the ignition switch is bad. Could also be the neutral safety switch. Next time it dosen't start shake the shifter to see if it starts. :)

Mine exhibits this problem as well. After chasing around to find if it was a VATS problem I figured out that heat soak into the starter is the problem. Now if I can just find the time to put it up in the air and replace it :(
