Just bought one for my 88 from ZIP Products on the forum. Cost was 85.00 plus shipping. These are remanufactured not new. I don't think you can buy new ones anymore. Your stock number is EH487. There is also a $100 core charge that you get back if yours is rebuildable.
what were the symptoms that made you decide it needed it. I am having an intermittent startiung problem, starts cold won't start hot. not pulsing injectors in no start condition. Are the discount parts houses ecm's ok? Did yopu replace the prom?
I don't know for a fact that I need one. I am at my wits end though. I rebuilt my engine months ago and burned a prom for it. Everything was going fine. Then I noticed that I had split BLM's. I tried everything. Finally I just decided to drive it for awhile. Now one side is leaning way out. I even get a code. This is all I can think of. I don't normally blame computers, but I have to try something. Thanks to all who answered...
I got my ECM from a salvage yard for $45. I put my chip in it, and it fixed all kinds of things like my 4+3 OD shift, average MPG, instant MPG, the upshift light, the od light.
try it, I'm sure the ECM was used in other cars besides the vette. The key is he chip. ;)

Did you ever look at this site? http://members.***.net/chipsbyal/idle/
It speaks to air imbalance at idle on an LT1 w/ aftermarket TB. Don't remember if your problem was at idle or over the whole rpm range. I haven't done this mod myself, but Al has a pretty good reputation as a tuner...
That may just be the answer to my split BLM's. My problem has gotten much worse than that. Once I fix my fuel starvation, I will definately try those mods. I had to "port" my IAC port out to keep it from whistling. Those mods probably would have done the trick also. Its good to hear from you, Thanks again!!!
