Default Proper long term sit prep?

I am pulling the motor to do a rebuild but I don't plan on having the motor back in for at least a few months because the car needs a lot of tlc and I am spacing out the spending.

Before I put the car on jack stands, I had maybe less than 1/4 in the fuel tank.

-My fuel rail/lines are in tact just set aside for the motor pull. Should I bleed the line at the Schrader valve/pump the excess fuel out of the tank? Car has less than 1/4 in the tank.

-Any issue with the suspension being unloaded and up in the air?

No, your suspension is good.

If your engine is back in a couple of months, you can leave the gas in the tank as it wont be that old.

I'd drain the fuel rails just because it will be cleaner to handle on reassembly.

couple mos is nothing dont worry about the gas priming or anything else
I f its a new motor you prime too much you wash all the prelube off then what

Mines been down for well over a yr
Will only replace gas as it has a fair amount of compression otherwise it would get driven

Going to fire it up right away ck for leaks then go play. It wont hurt a thing... really dont need a special routine soon as that oil pump turns you get oil up there quicker than you think.
nothing wrong with going the extra mi but imo its just ocd

If you really are **** about it, put some fuel stabilizer but when you get it running, run the motor till it hits empty and fill to the top with fresh fuel.

I agree with aklim - put a bit of fuel stabilizer in the tank.

A number of us have seen schedules "slip" a bit, as we encounter unexpected little things - or the shop doing the work takes a little longer to get things done that originally expected ... Stuff happens.... Fuel Stabilizer is cheap !!!!
