For me, plug 2 was the PITA.
I wanted one of those sidewinder ratchets but didn't get it before the job. I believe it would help durring the job. You may want to look into cutting the plug electrodes. (supposed to increase power.) Do you have more wire looms? When I changed ouot my wires, a lot of the stock ones broke. You may want to pick a couple of those up. You might want to change out the cap and rotor since you are at it.
When doing the wires, do one at a time. This way you can run it in the same path as the original.

Tools needed are: plug socket, socket wrench (regular, sidewinder, or dial) screw driver for cap.

Some folks remove the ac compressor (well, move it out of the way) and they say that helps with plug 2.

Good luck

What's needed? Hmmm. Some patience will help!! #8 was my toughest, but I have nitrous lines on that side. Should go rather easily, just be patient and don't rush. I pulled off my belt, and had to turn the tensioner pulley out of the way. Not much room for your hand by the opti, but you can get it. Under the alternator and AC pump is a small crevice that they ran the wires through. The toughest part was putting the new ones through. I went with MSD also, which have bigger boots, but with a bit of persistance, they'll go through! Oh, one more thing...for the driver's side, you will have to remove the dust cover on the inner fender well. Also, the MSD's do not fit in the stock looms, so while your there take the stock looms off. I got some red looms from Autozone.
Here's a pic.
