When turning right around a corner seems like steering will randomly slip ?
I guess is the best way to describe it ? I remember a lot of GM's had issues like i am describing ?

I have not come across this in the 20 years I have had my 85, I have a feeling the steering column universal joint coupler in the engine bay may be the issue. Check the bolts are tight where the steering column attaches, check the bolt is tight at the steering rack also.

The early 84-85 had a different design that had some rubber vibration dampening at the join that could go loose.
