Default Should I change my fuel filter?

Installing new injectors on my car. A new fuel filter is recommended of course, which is a little difficult right now...but not impossible. I replaced it maybe 5-6 years ago, but the car probably only has about 200 miles since then. Do I change it again? Thanks!

Well, it has run out once or twice in that time. It sits a lot, so I don't put much in. Got tired of pumping it out all the time, ha ha...

The fuel filters are a good size so with few miles on it you should be OK.

If you have tons of junk in your fuel tank and run low fuel level all the time, I suppose it's possible you could have a choked fuel filter in 200 miles. But that's really a stretch.

Just change it as soon as you reasonably can.

Default 1996 fuel filter

There is not even a recommended fuel filter change for my 1996 Corvette. Corvette owners manual and my 1996 GM service manual has no change recommended. Have had my 1996 since it was bought new, now getting very close to 21 years ago and still has the original fuel filter.

Sure...I just meant it's tough to do right now, 'cause my car isn't running...and it's on soft grass.

Tank was cleaned out when I put a new fuel pump in just a few months ago, so should be good there.

Yea, I might change it pretty soon anyway. I have a bunch of 'em! Just wanted to do it before my first run with the new injectors...but I'll probably wait till I can drive it up on pavement to change it out.

Thanks!

Not surprised. It is probably such an ignored filter by most, they probably thought it was a waste of ink.
