Tach light install 89 c4

Looking for best place to tap into engine rpm for interior dash tach light. Also can not get 700r4 to go into low 1st gear. Cable may be out of adjustment. any pics would help

I read a post recently where the guy said his shift boot kept him from going into 1st gear. This also happened to me. I had to rearrange the shift boot to allow the shifter to go all the way back.

That happened to me with my shifter boot. Bit of trimming sorted it..
