Hello,
Not a big fan of chips. However , would it be worth the effort for an occasional driver to have it put on the dyno and have a professional tune ? or just go with a new gear ratio instead ?
Unless your car is modified you won't get much from a tune. However, if you change gears you will either need to change the tune (depending on year of car), or change the speedo gears in the transmission.

Doesn't matter. They are here to stay so there it is. As to your question, what mods have you done? If hardly anything, save the money.
If its internally stock save the usual bolt on wanna be mods leave it be the factory tune isnt bad at all.
when you get into heads cam etc absoltely
Only got a hypertech chip on a pre 90 to turn the fans on earlier no power gain...or loss.
Mod that bitch!!
My F-body benefitted from having LPE tune it after the SR intake and Tri-Y headers they sold. Sure, it ran "fine" but every so often, there is a little hesitation. The wife is a pretty good test driver since she knows nothing about cars. Told her some new tires or something unrelated was being installed and she noticed a difference after tuning.
