Latest fad......could be worse we could all follow your example and not rebuild a 100K engine correctly
Excuse me? Where do you get off on that one? First of all it was a 166k mile engine. Second of all I rebuilt the thing perfectly. Not one leak from day 1. The only mishap was the oilpump pickup moving. Those are awfully strong words to be using without the ability to back it up.
Another thing to all reading. I've got the hooker longtubes, no cats, and flowmaster catback on my car. I can talk easily while cruising along down the rural road or highway and hold a conversation or listen to the radio. The only "bad" resonance is at 1600 RPM. Highway cruising is 1900 RPM so its fine.
Corsa is less quiet and looks better. Flowmaster probably has one of the highest amounts of resonance you could get. I'd look at the corsa and Power effects. The power effects can be turned up or down depending on your sound and performance needs of the day.
I'll give you all that much. Flowmasters resonate like crazy. Some people, myself included and apparently Scorp, can handle the resonance. That's a call you can't make until you hear it.
All I'm trying to say is that to ME the Corsa system isn't worth the money they want for it. If it's worth it to you, GREAT! It is a VERY pretty system but MY cost / benefit analaysis makes ME go with the flowmasters. Everybody has a different opinion in that regard. Nobody is WRONG here.
Anybody who has the Corsa and likes the Corsa should use the Corsa. Anybody who has Flowmasters and likes Flowmasters should use Flowmasters. It's as simple as that.
Corsa ,Corsa, Corsa......everyone loves Corsa.....But for some good reasons. On a stock to bolton car they look pretty good are stainless , fit well and dont resonate while being reasonably priced. That is alot to like.
On the other hand , sound is objective , but to me they sound like a powerboat. Their tips are always different colors because one tip does most of the exhausting most of the time. They are only 2.5" front to back and this is not the best for higher hp applications. Plus, these days everyone seems to have em, which is ok.
Personally I have a B&B Tri Flow system about to go on , I am waiting for my X pipe to arrive (from B&B, I exchanged my new resonator for it). I am positive it will be louder than a Corsa , but this car is not a daily driver and I want to hear it! I am also pretty confident it will perform well and I will be able to retain it even when my LT-4 grows up to be a 396.....
I have heard flowmaster systems and like them , they are cheap and sound pretty good. The only thing I dont like about them is the tail pipes look kind of cheap to me. Hope that helps...... :seeya

I'll agree with you there. The flowmaster cat back systems have some cheap looking tips. I didn't buy the cat-back. I bought 2 flowmaster 40 series mufflers and had them put back in place with my stock tips. I happen to like the stock tips, some do, some don't. Again nobody is wrong in this regard. Keep in mind though if going with Flowmasters, if you dont' buy the cat-back and just buy mufflers you can put any tips on them you want.

That's a little uncalled for.
Let's get this thread back on track.
Corsa is the latest fad, I was sold on them when I heard Crushers car onth edyno. I've always liked the look of them, they are much more quieter, I'm disappointed about that, but at the time theywere the best deal going.
I may put them on my '93 and put the B&B on my '95.
The only thing I dont like about them is the tail pipes look kind of cheap to me. Hope that helps...... :seeya
Agreed. :yesnod: My flowmasters are the cheapo black painted ones, but I like that as my car looks better with the dark theme going on. The tips have some spotty rust here and there on them, but I keep on it with some high temp paint and a wire brush. No biggie.

Re: corsa vs flowmaster exhaust (Iceman4021)
I installed shorty headers, random cats, and the Corsa and am thrilled with the results. It may be a *little* too quiet at idle, but the rest of the time it's just right. It's all in how you drive it and *want* to hear it. My gas mileage really sucks now. :D
I am very well satisfied with my Corsa system. My car is a daily driver, and I like being able to put it into O/D when I want the resonance to disappear entirely. In drive my car is plenty loud, and WOT it sounds :mad . I thought about Flowmaster for price, but thought the tips looked cheap. One thing I hate about my Corsa, is that one tip has gotten black inside and the other is still pretty clean. That kinda looks stupid, but overall I would highly recommend Corsa for a daily driver. Also, I think my Corsa sounds awesome and so does everbody else in the neighborhood.
Corsa probably has less resonance, but it also sounds way less ballsy.
You've never heard mine. :D
Long tubes, no cats and a Corsa system... I can set off other car alarms at will! :D And I don't have the resonance Flowmaster owners have along with the cheap looking tips.
Now, if this is for your ZR-1, the sound will be different and they sound pretty cool.
