I've been doing some stop light launches using a phone app that shows 0-60mph ,0-100 and 1/4mile times. the best I can seem to get to 60 is a little less than 6 sec. I would think my car should be doing better than this . I have 4.11 gears and an engine dynoed at 410 hp at5500 rpm. I am trying to manage wheel spin the best I can but its hard. can anyone tell me what they are running. the best I could get it to the 1/4 is in the 14.s but that is on the street so Im not really pushing it. Im trying not to be too unsafe or illegal (or at least not get caught) also how accurate do you think a phone app is using GPS? the one Im using is Ulysse. it seems rite on with
Mph. thanks for any imput.

Something is not right? Won't a stock L98 do 0-60 in a little less than 6 seconds?
Exactly! so either im way worst of a driver than I thought or the Gps is wrong. I know I am having major traction issues but for the gearing and hp. that should be normal.
does anyone else use GPS for timing performance?
My best 1/4 time, stock everything, auto, 307 gears is 14.1 at the drags here in Indy..1986 coupe, Z-51 and that's without sticky tires. For best times, I have to come off the line from idle.. any rpm and I just spin. Getting stickys soon so will be in the 13s.. plus had headers , true duals, installed this week. L-98

I think you'd be surprised how much better your times would be with tires that grip and a few runs at the drag strip.

Also, you can get better grip out of your tires by letting out some air, but don't go too low. I won't give specific numbers here but do some searching and you will see what people are getting with slightly lower PSI.
I used dynolicious a few years ago and it was pretty accurate. But the track is a WAY better measure, IMO. Just the fact that you get 7 data points in the 1/4 mile makes it far more "usable" info than 0-60, which with 410 hp should be traction limited for ~70% of that run.
