Replacing the TPS on the Throttle body. Messed up a screw. Could not find the same size except at the GM dealer. Had to buy 14 screws to get one, 16 bucks. Screw size 4.5mx75thread. Then needed a tap to clean the threads, special order although available, 4 bucks. GM probably did this to screw with me. I could just drill it out and go with a 10mx32 but that would not be original. Just venting. :mad

:lol: Somebody else has this problem? I went to Diamond Screw here in BG. If it exists they either have it or can get it. They came to the conclusion that it doesn't exist.

4.5mx75 is a common thread. Ford uses it all over their vehicles. The little hardware store up my street had plenty of nuts, bolts, taps and dies in this size.

If you don't mind. When your near that hardware store could you get me four 1.25" 4.5M x 75 thread angle with a torx head please. Be glad to pay for them and what mail costs. I think you can fold them in a piece of cardboard and put in an envelope. They are really not available around here. Once you get them I will email you my address, and if you don't mind I will pay you with paypal or send you a check. Thanks.
