Default Tired of hitting bottom

C4 . . 1994

I need new tires in front and was wondering what size I can go to that might help raise the front a bit and still work with the car. I'm tired of having the front end bottom out in driveways etc. The car now has 255- 40-17 tires.

I would be leery of raising the front end any appreciable amount as it could have a negative effect on handling. You'd probably have to raise the rear end the same amount to counter it. And then it may start to look a little strange.

Are you talking about bottoming out on a driveway apron incline? Usually I have a problem with the black spoiler scraping. If that is the problem you could use a couple of planks to help it up the incline or carefully trim a small amount off the spoiler.

Can you be more specific on "bottoming out"? Meaning the plastic air skirt scraping (normal) or metal frame scraping (not normal)?
