Outside temp sensor getting weird on me

Outside temp sensor getting weird on me
Huh....
My outside temp gauge/reader is getting wonky on me and I'd like to get a "read" on it.
Recently it seems to get stuck at 70 (default?) as displayed on my A/C center console display. It will remain this way for miles and miles and then all of the sudden jump to a correct temperature (today 86) and seem to move correctly after that.
Is my outside temp sensor starting to go on the fritz or is this something else? BTW... my HVAC system works great for both heat and AC with all the doors moving as they should.

The OAT resistance to temp is in the FSM -

push on the face of the climate control display to freshen up the contacts.
if thT doesnt work, remove it and reinstall making sure you push the face of the display deeper onto its contacts
