Look how clean those intake ports and vales are! You must be running Seafoam in that thing! Right? Or maybe some Lucas? Motor Honey?

No, and neither did the previous owner.

I bought the car in October. 70k on it. No idea if the motor is original.

Paid $4200 for the car, put about $800 into it including new rotors/pads, ball joints, gaskets, and a few small things.

It's kinda a cool car, and I dig the yellow w/ black interior. I like driving it more than my other cars that are worth 5 times more.

Yes, That was some heavy sarcasm that I was laying on there. I know you don't need that stuff to have a fantastic performing engine...but others buy into the elixirs. So I was sort of making a point from your "clean port" pics.

They're fun, and I've had similar observations.

Ahh..

I was actually kinda surprised how clean the runners are as well, considering the car did have an EGR. (I blocked it off). Usually these intakes and runners are caked with carbon.

Those products don't do anything, but I have used mystery oil to un-stick frozen boat/pwc engines (2 strokes). Stuff is quite amazing.

I still kinda wanna buy a c6, but I worry about the reliability. I've heard they like to visit the dealer often, and when they do it's always expensive.

The C4 is a cool driver though. Comfortable enough to drive to work regularly, but sporty enough to have fun too.

Make sure that you find one to drive first! I wish I had. I found my C6 to be a pretty boring, bland car to drive on the street. The C4 is way more fun/interesting/exciting -yes, even with 100 hp less. Try it before you spend the $$$.

Change the intake and valve cover gaskets last night. Both were leaking oil. Common I'm told on the LT1.

Just gotta do plugs, swap the leaking VSS sensor, and install the new rotors and pads and I'm good for the summer!

That's funny, i drove a nice C5 before i decided to put money in my C4.

The C5 i drove, felt like a normal car; much like my wifes Aura.
I could easily forget I'm driving a corvette until i drove past a building and saw the red C5 with me driving it...

My C4 drives like i expect a sports car to, reminds me of a gocart.
I also have the infamous 84 Z51...

I also make sure my seat belt is nice and tight, and i always press the cinch button on the side of the lap belt.
One time i hit a bump and was thankful i had the top off or my head would have slammed pretty hard...
