Has anyone ever tried to replace their stock air intake duct (92-style) with a 94 -96 two-piece style (without using the MAF)? I want to replace mine using the two-piece style and cutting a piece of black PVC to fit were the MAF would go. I'm not sure if the TB and the air intake housing are the same diameter on the 92's as it is on the 94 - 96's. I plan on doing this because the 92-style air intake duct discolors badly and really doesn't come clean, plus its $150 to replace! Any info would be appreciated.
I have read about forum using a traffic cone, but I'm not going that route. :nonod:
Oh, geez, someone PLEASE use a traffic cone! I'll freaking pay for it if you'll post pics on the forum!!! Even better, rig up two traffic cones in place of the headlights, so that when they pop up, you've got DOUBLE RAM AIR !!!!
If you used a 4 way hose connector, you could have one cone in the nose and one on each headlight. Then you could rig up the headlights like a ZR1's secondaries and have them open at a certain RPM for an extreme airflow boost. Could call it the Conecharger System and mass market it.

Re: 92 Air Intake Duct (my ride)
I put traffic cone on my car 3 years ago when everyone was spending big money for this stuff. It saw done as a joke but the car didn't slow down with them on so I left them. So I guess I've got the fastest LT1 head and cam traffic cones
