4+3 shift lock cable

4+3 shift lock cable

Have a 88 corvette with the 4+3 and cannot find what the park lock cable from the shifter connects to. Looks like maybe somewhere in the steering column. Please help!

yes goes to column and routed like this. You should be able to feel the cable back-drive connecting point on the column. Have you had the column out? Is this a column other than the original?

Hi here is another diagram of the shift lock pin, with instructions for replacing it. That cross pin is a bitch, when i had my column out i lost it.
made a replacement hopefully it wont fall out when in the car.
