Default 60-100mph times?

Recently took my -90 for the first WOT runs after winter hibernation and some minor mods. Did a few 60-100mph runs in third gear with rolling start, best run was 3,75 seconds. Not seen much 60-100mph figures for modified C4s though, anyone tried this and are willing to share numbers?

No idea on times from 60 to a 100 but that seems pretty fast to me.

haven't done your run but have done the 1/4. fairly stock 1986, z-51. best time was 14.037 @ around 97 or 98 mph. lack of traction was killing me. ( L-98)

3.05 sec and 3.02 sec from two random logfiles. ( Front wheel speed )
That was with automatic transmission and shift from second to third.

Second 1.48:1
third 1.00:1
3.54:1 final drive ratio
(5.24:1 total on second and 3.54:1 total on third.)

If you have a manual then you probably have 1.31:1 on third and 3.33:1 final drive ratio.
(4.36:1 total on third.)

Same here, thats why I prefer 60-100mph, no wheelspin and could be done in one gear thus eliminating driver errors. Its so easy now to do accurate measurements without access to a track; a $20 app (Racechrono) and a 10Hz external GPS ($70) hooked up to your phone and you are good to go!

Summer 2015 I borrowed a VBOX performence meter, I think that it was this one:
https://www.vboxmotorsport.co.uk/ind...ers/vbox-sport

I made three runs with similar results. Seems close to your 3.75 seconds bogor.

60 mph = 96 km/h
100mph = 161 km/h

Air intake duct to turbo had some major restrictions that I removed during winter 2015-2016.

did this result in reduction of 60-100mph time with 0,7 seconds?

2015: Wastegate with 0.5 bar spring working as it should. With boost control I could max out at about 1.3 bar with fully closed WG.

2016: Same wastegate with same 0.5 bar spring and no boost control. With fully open WG boost would climb and peak at 1.7 bar resulting in maxed out injectors, needing to add a third fuel pump to get lambda back in range and needing to reduce gap on sparkplugs.

The air intake was acting as a restrictor limiting air flow into the engine.

I have bought a larger 60mm wastegate that I will relocate to a better position. I will try to get back to about 0.5 bar boost on the spring and run boost control from there.

I'm at around 500rwhp in a weightwise pretty standard C4 vert with the optional hardtop (dont know the exact weight) 3,33 rear and a six speed manual. To reach JoBys numbers probably require alot more power.

From a log-file I calculated 700 rwhp average over 1.5 seconds in third gear using speed difference and weight.

The air filters I use are K&N filters for the C7 Z06 Corvette and should support more than 650 hp each. Ducting from filters have at least the area of a 5" pipe all the way to the turbo.
