Drone is painful at 1700-1800 but literally is silenced at 2000rpm. For low speed stuff it's pretty good and really howls at 6000+ RPM
I rate it a solid 7/10. If it didn't during I think the sound would be perfect.
I've tried magnaflow hardware on 3 separate occasions with fitment issues on all three. for me, it's three strikes and you're out! want easy "plug and play" stuff? try flowmaster, corsa, or OE replacement walker.
a. drive it around in salt roads
b. Make it a noisemaker to impress the kids
c. make max power after you uncorked the headers?
cat back exhaust, billy boat and borla are the same money i have long tube headers and stock mufflers i dont think the mufflers are flowing enoff .its a 90 c4 l98 thanks for the in put.

Have you tried driving it with the exhaust disconnected and see if that makes a difference in the quarter?
My choice to use SS304 material was based on the idea that I would be driving it even in the winter when the snow was off and there might be salt remaining on the ground.
I've had both the older 3" B&Bs and the Borlas (square intercooled tips) on my 87 L98, that car also has TPIS coated headers with dual 3" pipes:
They both sound great, both have a lower sounding bass-type sound and are built well BUT I would definitely go with the B&Bs. I love the way they sound and I think are gorgeous polished mufflers & are the best looking mufflers for a C4 by far (looking). I presume you're not concerned with resonance as much. If you are worried about resonance then look at OBX/Corsa
Borla has a drone I don't like. I got it cheaper so I went with it. If I had to do it again, I'd wait for Corsa. I much prefer a quieter exhaust
Yeah they are something to get used to but when I bought my 87 & threw Borlas on it I was 19 so I took it without complaining.
On my 94 I have some EM headers waiting to be installed. I'm seriously considering mating the OBX catback, it's all polished, looks like a Corsa copy and the ones I heard sound great. I'm curious how much "fitting" will be needed with the OBX but the shop can figure it out worst case is I don't like it and I'm only out $550 (minus what I get for it locally) so no big loss. I would go with Corsa right off the bat IF they were priced competitively...I get the whole pay-to-play mentality but come on
OP - Are you looking for a deeper loud dronish sound or more of a raspier/high pitched european V8 sound? The systems you mentioned are ofcourse the former

i love the sound of a mustang gt it has a distinct sound. i have long tube headders im pretty much sold on the b@b cat back at$784.00 free shipping i think this will also add performance.

It might add performance if the mufflers are restricting the flow. Disconnect the mufflers and do some quarter mile sprints and see what it is before and after.

Aklim, Just curious? Is your intake all stock as well?
The reason I ask is My Magna flows had that low RPM drone big time especially 5th and really bad in 6th gear on the hwy..
I opened up my intake a little and it was a very pronounced difference in the drone... while still there it is much more tolerable, not the "I need to get out of this car" drone anymore. It's actually almost pleasant now...
But I agree with you the Corsa ones sound good and look good too.... But my Magna flows look good too... Because (Said in Fernando's voice "remember darlings, it's better to look good, than to sound good. and thus, my Magna flows look marvelous"

Holley Stealth Ram, 42# injectors, AFR 190 heads, 1.6 intake RR and 1.5 exhaust RR, 230/236 622 / .570 lift 110 lobe sep, 108 intake centerline (2 deg. advanced), TPIS Long Tube Headers, Random Tech Cat, Borla exhaust, Rossler Trans, 3.54 D44 rear end, HiTech Motorsport tuned ECM. Not sure why my sig never comes through but there it is. Not quite stock.
Drone is tolerable at speeds over 50 but city driving sucks. Under 2000 it is irritating.
I wish it were quiet or at least quieter. I wanted 304SS for winter driving and no hindrance on the flow. If this exhaust went, I'd go for a Corsa. I bought this because it was a true bolt on, 304SS and was pretty good on the flow and was on a good sale.
