If your opti is original, you might consider replacing it with a vented

There are other vented opti
instructions..... search will help.
If the opti has been replaced, you might just leave it alone until it fails.
Then consider a vented opti. Just a humble suggestion.

Some aftermarket opti's offer a vented system for the 92-93. I have a Dynaspark that I bought a long time ago as a spare that I finally pupuit on. Don't Know if they are in business yet as ownership changed after I bought mine and heard that the quality of the units decreased because of poor parts used. I think they did not use the Mitsubishi sensor in the latter units.
