Rear Bose Speaker Frequency Cutoff
I have been installing a new radio into my 1992 coupe and notice the rear Bose speakers reproduce mainly low frequency well. My radio will allow me to set them up with a low pass filter that I can alter the cutoff frequency some in subwoofer mode to the rear speakers. Does anyone know what an appropriate cutoff frequency would work well with the Bose rear speakers. The radio is a Pioneer MVH-AV290BT. The crossover points supported by this radio are 50Hz, 63Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz or 125Hz. Thanks!

Just experiment with it, there is no harm to be done. The rear speakers aren't really subwoofers. Start with them at 125hz, then try 100 and 80. Anything lower than that will have limited output. I think you'll probably be happiest with the LPF either off or at 125hz. Just my guess though.
I have 8" subs in the back crossed at 80hz and I'm happy with the sound, but I also have a fully amped system with actively crossed fronts too.
