Default maybe on a lead.....

I think I may have had the light bulb punching out its full 100 watts a minute ago. I tested all the ECM grounds and they were good. Then I tested the TPS and it was at .539 volts, near perfect. I then tested the dk green wire going to the MAF. I figured the MAF would be a good place to look for bad readings, since I was gettinga code 33, high voltage from the maf. According to my shop manual, the green wire is the voltage in to the maf from the ecm. According to the chart that shows proper readings from the ecm, the B12 wire is the dk green maf sensor input wire. I tested the continuity of the wire and it was good to the maf. Then I tested the voltage of the green wire to ground and came up with 5V. According to my manual, it is supposed to read 2.5V when the key is in the on position without the car running. My car, of course is not running, so no test could be made with the car running. If my logic is correct, the maf is supposed to alter this voltage and send it back to the ecm, via the A11 wire. If the voltage is too high, the maf wouldn't be able to compensate and would send a high voltage back to the ecm, setting off a high mafvoltage code, 33.
In addition, my old maf's filament wire looked to be brownish in color. If the voltage was too high, this could fry the maf causing the discoloration of the filament.
Does this make sense to anyone but me, I'm a little burnt out on this problem and I'm looking for some outside input.
