Default Oil temperature sensor location LT1 ?

Oil temperature gauge not working, figure it's most likely a bad sensor. Where on the engine is the sensor located?

I don't believe that the EOT changed year to year SO ...... rear of left side engine @/near/above oil filter vicinity. Does year matter?

i believe that first thing would be to confirm failure. You have no EOT displayed on both the gauge and the "digital display"?

Will check digital display, just noticed the gauge seems stuck at 100 F.

Is this similar to your gage reading? If so, that is normal. Max movement for analog oil temp needle is about ⅛". Sensor is located in the
base of the oil filter housing. Access is limited/difficult. This photo must have been taken when engine was first started.

Thanks, finally got her out on the road for a spell in 80F, Oil temp gauge went to about 1/4. Mine has halfway markers too. Guess it's normal - thanks.
