working on a 93 corvette. it wouldnt crank.. replaced fuel pump, filter, fpr, then noticed it wasnt getting spark. replaced all spark plugs and plug wires.. replaced the coil. then replaced optispark.. it crunk and ran but started running rough when the engine warmed up.. drove it around for 3 hours and it ran fine then i parked it for a bout an hour, crunk it up and ran rough.. took it to the shop the next day and they said it read low res failure.. im at a loss.. idk what to do next.. please help
I'm guessing that you have a Code 16? That is most likely the low resolution pulses from the Opti telling the ECM which cylinder is next inline for combustion. There are 8 signature pulses, each with a unique pulse width to identify which one is next.
Sounds like your new Opti is bad or installed incorrectly?
Double, Double check your fault codes before you throw any more parts and money at your car.
