1990 c-4

My 1990 c-4 idles and revs fine while in park or neutral yet when in gear is rough gets worse the more gas i give it (actually sounds a bit like a helicopter until i take my foot off the gas)

Earl,
Do you know how old the spark plugs are? They can easily cause a misfire under load if they are old/fouled. Do you know what the fuel pressure is? Borrow or buy a fuel pressure gauge and check for 43psi
with the FPR vac hose disconnected. I would also check the TPS voltage with the ignition on, engine off for 0.80-4.80V corresponding to idle and WOT.
