What year did the GM Corvettes change ac gas from R12 to R134 ? Mine is a 1994 base coupe.
I think it may have been around 88 but one easy way of tell if your car has been converted to or has the 134 system is the 134 has air chuck type of fitting, R-12 has the Threaded connection.

The fittings are the easiest way to tell, there should be a label under the hood listing the refrigerant type and amount of factory charge.

6 years ago I added 134a from Walmart to the 1988 Old's 88 station car. it still works great and no issues. Just put it in in 1988 and drove 5 hours in the summer that year upstate to a friends house, then daily trips..
I've added some each year, and it still works great....
