I would hate to tap into the fuel injectors just because they are a critical item. Maybe use something simple that does NOT throw a code like the AIR system? Those are switched.
Tapping into the injector HOT side will NOT "throw a code". Matter of fact there are NO codes associated with the injector circuits. NONE. What code does a shorted multec injector throw? Huh?
The A.I.R. circuits are the same as the EGR solenoid, which was my first suggestion. Probably better than the injector hot, but the injector hot is easier to find, and will work just fine.
Do a search but I tapped into the fan relay blue wire (I think) which is near the radiator. It's switched 12v That I ran to a relay with constant 12v power coming from the positive hub behind the battery. Also used an inline fuse for added protection.
I just used a Fuse tap off the dash circuit(5a key on), ran a wire through the dash, and out the driver side grommet. I bought a weatherpack connector to hook it up.
