Default 91 Passenger Valve Cover Hose Area Throwing Oil

91 L98 Coupe
Within last 700 miles upper portion rebuilt. Valve seals all new engine gaskets.

Just started throwing/leaking oil passenger valve cover hose area. I'm green at this. I pulled passenger hose out of valve cover and no pvc valve like drivers side, guess that is normal. Previous owner put Chevrolet Covers on but gave me the Corvette ones.

See oil leak around gasket below(looks like a shadow)
Passenger Side:

Full pic of passenger side(oil has been cleaned up in this pic):

Full pic of drivers side that is the only side with a PVC:

Are you saying to replace that big rubber gasket around the hose on the passenger side valve cover and then put a PVC valve in there like is on the driver side so there's two PVCs?

No, only one PCV valve. He's saying replace the grommet there (I think Dorman makes one that works). I think you might as well replace the hose too while you're at it.

Just replace the grommet, that is the filtered air intake for crankcase.

Okay so the passenger side grommet seems to be the issue with the oil leaking out of it I'll be glad to replace it and thanks to all of you!

The Grommet looks identical to the one on the driver side so I'll just order a PCV grommet, so do I have to take the valve cover off to install the Grommet?

Yes a PVC grommet is the correct replacement, no need to remove cover just grab with pliers and lube new one and press in by hand, I just replaced the same one and a PVC when I replaced the PVC valve and the U shaped hose at the PVC valve. Note the flat side location of grommet when removing old one, the new was hard to turn into correct position, I had to remove mine to get the flat located correctly so PVC would fit right.

When the previous owner rebuilt the upper portion of the engine he replaced the Corvette valve covers with Chevrolet valve covers. I called Dorman and they gave me four part numbers 42062 42313 42316 and 42320 as possibilities. So now I have to gently remove the grommet on the passenger side measure and then put it back so I can still drive the car and then figure out which one of those part numbers might work.

I checked the PCV valve on the driver side by detaching it and putting my finger over the end of it and not only did it rattle when I touched the end of it but the suction was very very very good.

I installed the new Mr. Gasket grommet. Fit very tight. Soon I'll know if that takes care of the problem.

I've driven it enough now to report that the tighter grommet fixed the oil leak.

Thanks to all!
