Default Knock sensor

I'm wondering about what the count should be for your knock sensor. I've thought I had a ping in the engine when I put my foot in it so I've been monitoring it on an Autoxray. Seems that it always stays around 134. That number doesn't really change much even when I can hear the pinging!! I believe the knock sensor was replaced 2 yrs ago, is there any way of testing it to see if it works? What does this count mean?

While the engine is running and connected to your scanner, tap the side of the block w/ a hammer.
You should see the counts go up.
KS should be located on the lower pass side of the block.
ESC module is propably located on your firewall. (Flat package 2.5" square.)
