Default C4 frame

Don't recall ever hearing an answer to this...is the C4 frame hollow? I mean, enough so that you could run maybe 3/4" OD hose through it? I know that access holes would probably have to be drilled, as I don't see any openings. Thanks for any answers.

I have holes in mine where factory hooks were in back for tie downs, in front of the rear end. It's hollow. If solid the weight would be huge.

I guess maybe I can drill something. I want to run larger diameter hoses for the water to air intercooler setup. I can only fit 5/8" od hose behind the rocker panel covers.

Anyone else have any input? I'd rather run a larger hose, and have it "protected" by the frame the whole way, thanks have the smaller one exposed at spots.

There is "air space" but what you're calling frame is actually several dozen sections of HSLA (High Strength Light Alloy) stamped components that have been welded together. You couldn't "fish" anything end to end through it. There's multiple weld-nut protrusions for bolt-on and every mating flange internally would have sharp edges.

Some images that might help.
