Default Where does this part go?
I just replaced the water-pump on my 1991 C4. Of course most everything on the front of the engine has to come off. I have the following part, not sure where it goes, but I think it might hook up to the smog garbage hooked up to the air pump. I am not sure about the orientation as well, picture of one installed is best if you could. Thanks.

Joe may be rite but I seem to remember the Brace going from Exhaust Manifold to Alternator looked just like that with the welded tube on it.

there is another brace in the pic that goes from the rear of the alternator to the exhaust manifold - maybe - ???

Nope, not the brace circled or the one off of the alternator. I think it is below the smog stuff on the other side of the engine.
