Default Starter Positive Stud Nut Size??

I seem to have lost the nut that goes on the large (+) stud on the starter. Anyone know what thread size this stud is so I dont have to take the starter out to get a replacement? Stock starter on my 1990.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I would expect M8-1.25 so long as everything is stock. The OE is very likely thinner than a conventional M8 nut so you might try a "jamb nut" - GM SPO mentions 4mm and that seems appropriate for a "jamb nut" in M8-1.25

Good call! I originally tried a 5/16 and it was tight. M8 fits!
