Default "Knowledge is Power"

My 94 Vette is running great, no problems, BUT there is one thing I have to figure out. I found out through history research that the motor is a transplant. I believe it is out of a Camaro, Firebird, or possibly a Caprice. Regardless it is an LT-1 with Corvette manifold covers. So my question is, Is there any way visually that I can distinguish the difference between the various LT-1 motors produced by GM in 1994. Even if I can eliminate one or two, anything will help.
The block is steel, the heads are aluminum, and the only numbers I can find are on the front block pad which is on the front passengers side. The numbers are V0924WHF
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Camaro and Vettes are the only ones with alum heads, and the 275 hp rating is also a camaro number.

check this thread: http://www.corvetteforum.guru/module...=18171&forum=1

In reading it, part of that if correct indicates it's a 94 Impala 275 hp engine.

This also might be of value: http://shbox.com/1/block_vin.jpg

Hope that helps.

Impala engines had cast iron heads, and this information notes F-body which is Camaro/Firebird.
Also the impala engine is rated at 260 hp from gm.

I'm aware-two different engines.
just thought it was worth a small comment considering the thread title. 👍

My post was just an acknowledgment/confirmation to your query, not a disparaging remark.

Like I said, if the info listed is accurate. I don't know either way, just passing along what I found.

Thanks to all for helping me figure this out, So I am at the conclusion that this is a 94 Camaro motor, based on the WHF code and the aluminum heads. At least I can be in the ballpark when ordering parts etc.
Thanks to all.
