I'm assuming it's recommended to replace the crank sprocket when installing a new timing chain...A three jaw puller looks like it should work to remove the crank sprocket, but how about installing?
The FSM shows what looks like a piece of pipe and a hammer to install, but can this be done in the car?
I just did mine. It can be done in the car but it is a little tricky. Take your time and tap gently. It will slowly go on. There are presses out there to put them on with but there was no room for the one I had. Getting the harmonic balancer back on is much harder then the crank sprocket

on hand. you can rent one from the parts store.
Thanks. What did you guys use to pound the sprocket on??
Harmonic balancer or crank hub? The HB is simply bolted to the crank hub, not a big deal if I'm understanding correctly
I did this 2 weeks ago, I pulled with a 3 jaw puller ,no prob, then I lubed the crank, heates my pully to 350 degrees.Using a leather glove I slipped it on and tapped with a cresent wrench(rounded side) side to side and it went all the way easily.
Good luck
