I just replaced my B-Pillar w/stripping. Running into an issue now. I suspect that the passenger side window had been fiddled with in the past and is out of adjustment. The old weatherstrip was more compressed and did not bind up like this. In my opinion, I think the glass needs to be shifted toward the rear of the car more as to not bind up with the weather stripping, what do you guys think?
P.S.- The driver side is perfect, no adjustments needed.
Notice what happens to the weather strip when it gets toward the top, its as if the window is too far forward and at the top tried to push back on the weather strip.
I have also found that adjusting a C4 window is no fun.
Did you ever get it right? I have a feeling as soon as I get it to be just right the window motor/regulator will take a crap and I'll have to start all over.

Back around 10 years ago the passenger side window motor went out on my 88. Figured the driver side wasn't far behind. Motors were riveted to the regulator assembly so I bought 2 brand new motor/reg. assembles (I still have the old units). I got the driver window alignment perfect. The passenger side is not quite perfect but there are no leaks. Every time I have to remove the door panel I mess with it a little.
Well I got it pretty close. Seals fine, but still binds on the b pillar weatherstrip at top. I'm tempted to seriously put the old weatherstrip back in and crack open a beer. I hate this, ive spent over 6 hours and haven't really gotten anywhere.
did you check that the main window track is aligned correctly? It looks like the window is coming up on an angle towards the front of the car and then hits the stop bump andbrotates back pinching the strip.
I had a similar problem a few years ago and it turned out that one of the window guides was broke. I don't remember exactly but it was the one slightly forward of the middle of the door. I believe this was the part. http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1993-1996.html It might be worth a check especially if you can rock the window back and forth.
I am having similar problems with my 94 after replacing WS. When going up the window takes a sudden tilt/rotation at the end such that the front edge goes up. I am not sure if it is a problem with the window upper stop not correct or if there is too much slop in the mechanical linkage assembly in the door.
I have played around with the two 10 mm bolts that allow me to move the 'stops' up and down [shown in picture] but it does not appear to change anything.
Please let me know if you adjusted any other bolts than the two shown in the photo. fyi....there is a third bolt on the inside that I was told adjusts the tilt; but that is more of an in/out adjustment versus a fwd/back adjustment.

Thx
Yes there is another bolt facing the rear of the car behind all of that which controls the "inward/outward" tilt of the glass. The best thing I did, however, was to lube the weather strip up with dilectric grease, roll the windows up, and leave the car out in the sun for a few hours a day. Eventually the weather strip just kind of "broke in" and it's now good enough. Not perfect, but no leaks and looks much better.

Yep, I adjusted that bolt earlier. I think that effects the window 'in/out' tilt from the car. The tilt I am struggling with is fwd/aft, longitudinally along the car.
