..... I'd say .500" would be about it ... you should measure the valve spring retainer to valve seal dimension and subtract .050" for clearance and that would be your max lift ... this dimension could change a little if you use other than stock retainers , keepers , or valve seals .....

I went .503 with a solid flat tappet cam. I dont think I'd go more.
