Just got 1995 corvette few months ago. A few times I tried to start only got a click. Jumped it once no problem another time took four tries to start
It sounds like the car is new to you, so a history is limited. So start with pulling Battery cables make sure they are not all corroded up if so clean them up good. Once you get car going get battery Load tested or Pull Battery and get load tested, if the car will start on a jump it makes me think it's in the Battery or the connections
This sounds like a bad starter. The solenoid just does not make contact every time.
Probably the starter needs to be replaced or the solenoid needs to be rebuilt.
Sounds like a dead/shorted cell in the battery. As the battery gets old, sometimes some of the plate material can fall off, and short out one or two cells. There is still enough power to run the car, but not enough to start it. Then you jump-start it, and drive it for a while, and the plate material moves around some, and the next time it starts ok.
If you don't know the age of the battery, I would replace it, and then if the problem persists, at lease you know what it is not.
